Scentwork provides valuable mental enrichment as well as gentle physical exercise, making it an excellent outlet for dogs of all kinds. During your dog’s short, regular breaks, you will also explore the fascinating science behind scentwork and discover just how extraordinary your dog’s nose really is.
Dogs of every age, size, breed and background are welcome, provided their vaccinations are up to date. No previous scentwork experience is required, so this is the perfect place to start; although some basic obedience training will help you get even more from each session.
Scentwork Progression Session Course

Designed for dogs and handlers who have already completed a Scentwork Brilliant Basics course or have some scentwork experience, these engaging sessions build on your existing foundations with new challenges, more advanced searches and opportunities to develop confidence together.
Through varied and increasingly challenging scentwork exercises, you will refine your handling skills, strengthen your dog’s focus and independence, and develop more effective teamwork. You will also learn practical activities and progression ideas that you can continue at home, helping to keep training rewarding and enjoyable between sessions.
Scentwork provides valuable mental enrichment as well as gentle physical exercise, and progression training offers an excellent way to extend your dog’s abilities at an appropriate pace. During your dog’s short, regular breaks, you will explore more of the science behind scentwork and gain a deeper understanding of how to support and develop your dog’s searching skills.
