Posh Collar Academy Scentwork

Our Scentwork Snifter class, this comprises of two, two-hour introductory sessions for those that have never tried scentwork before. 

Scentwork Snifter - Session 1 - Saturday 2nd August 10:15am (for a 10:30am start) and Session 2 - Saturday 9th August 2025 10:15am (for a 10:30am start)

Our Scentwork Snifters and any follow-on courses are located in North Walsham and Cromer, Norfolk. 

To aid effective training our first session is always indoors, at North Walsham Community Centre and the second session is outside in the Posh Collar Paddock, Hall Road, Cromer. 

We may have up to 8 dogs per session, however we will use multiple trainers. Each trainer will have a maximum of 4 dogs and their owners to focus upon during the training session.

Yes! Dogs of all ages can benefit from scent work. The only requirement for attending classes is that your dog is fully vaccinated.

Yes! Scent work is particularly great for dogs who are no longer able to be as physically active as they once were, as their brains will be doing all the hard work. There’s no need for them to run or navigate any obstacles if they don't wish to or can't. All exercises will be adapted to suit their ability.

We provide all of the scent work equipment so all you really need are some treats, water, poo bags and your dog.  Although you may want to bring a bed for your dog and a chair or blanket for you to sit on for the outside sessions. There will be short breaks during the sessions for you to have some food and drink if you wish.  Full details will be provided upon booking.

Absolutely!  Multiple family members are welcome to attend the workshop together. Due to the length of the sessions, it is not recommended to bring young children (under 6). Maximum 2 people per dog please.
